STARIANNE (1) is a talented mare who resumed over 1400m and proved too strong, winning by 1 length as favourite at Pakenham. She ran fourth in the G1 Australasian Oaks over 2000m last time in and will be very hard to hold out. FEARLESS WRITER (2) is a consistent type who has been thereabouts in all three runs this time in. Draws well here, just has to run the trip to be in the finish. CITY OF LIGHTS (5) is the half-sister to Winx who ran on strongly to score over 1550m last start. Any rise in trip will suit and she's got plenty of upside. FANCIFY (3) comes over from Adelaide in good form. Narrowly beaten last time but maps ideally with McDonald on, should be in the finish. TACUMWAH (12) won well on debut at Ballarat and can measure up.

Previously second-up favourite; came from midfield and won by 0.8 len at Ballarat 3yo Mdn-Sw April 5 over 1400m defeating Hazel Baby with 56kg at $5.50. Talented mare who should strip fitter and prove hard to beat.
Recent form sound. Most recently 3rd of 10 at Sale Bm70 on October 29 over 1400m, 1.5 len behind Lady Jones with 57.5kg at $3.80. The start before that made some head-way from midfield; 2nd of 12 at Caulfield Bm70 on October 18 over 1440m, head behind Belthil carrying 57kg at $6.50. Racing very well and should be in the finish again.
Third-up today and placed third-up previously. Resuming scored a big 3.5 len win at Morphettville Parks Nmw Bm70 September 30 over 1300m defeating Carbone with 54kg at $2.50. Last start gave a sight but was run down late 2nd of 9 at Morphettville 4yo+ 1Mw on October 14 over 1600m, nose behind Jenkins with 54kg at $2.60. Handy type who looks well placed here.

The run before that raced on the speed and boxed on steadily 2nd of 9 at Ballarat Bm70 on October 15 over 1400m, on a wet track; 1.75 len behind Always Hapi with 56.5kg at $8.50. In the each-way mix again.
Third-up today. Resuming got back early 5th of 8 at Randwick Kensington F&M Bm72 on October 4 over 1250m, 2.25 len behind Ghaanati carrying 56kg at $10. Second-up won by a nose at Randwick Kensington F&M Bm72 (69) October 18 over 1550m defeating Princess Rayaa with 57.5kg at $2.60. Well bred type who should relish this trip and can win.
Third-up today. Resuming eased back early on 5th of 9 at Ballarat Bm70 on October 15 over 1400m, in the wet; 4.5 len behind Always Hapi with 56kg at $41. Second-up 4th of 9 at Ballarat F&M Bm64 on October 26 over 1600m, 1.1 len behind Great Taste carrying 61kg at $19. Thereabouts last start but looks tested this time.
Last start ran on strongly from last on the turn; 3rd of 9 at Ballarat Bm70 on October 15 over 1400m, on heavy track; 3 len behind Always Hapi with 56kg at $1.80. Previously second-up came from midfield and won by a head at Kilmore F&M Mdn-Sw March 30 over 1600m in soft going defeating Whispering Lady with 57.5kg at $7.50. Worth consideration.

The race before that favourite; ran on from midfield and scored a big 6 len win at Warrnambool Mdn-Sw September 25 over 1700m defeating Buddie Rippa with 57.5kg at $1.50. Wait until she shows more.

Claiming her maiden victory on debut; won by a head at Ballarat 3yo F Mdn-Sw October 26 over 1400m defeating Elphinstone carrying 57kg at $16. Skips a grade but should relish this trip and gets in light.
