Race Overview

KETTLE HILL (5) didn't have a lot of luck in three Sydney runs before coming back to Melbourne and running a big race around the Valley. Put up a strong rating there, the form has since worked out really well, and getting up to 2000m on the bigger track looks an ideal scenario for him to go on with that now. SPARKLE (2) was behind him at the Valley then found something like her best form and won around here last time. She can improve again. INDEPENDENT ROAD (8) chased her home. Not beaten far and has run well in a strong form race, also at this course and distance, prior to that. SUMMERBEEL (9) turns out quickly from last week where she was the best of the rest behind a strong winner. She can measure up along with BLACK PENN (16).
