Terrific race. YOUTH SPIRIT (8) is interesting. Signs of a return to something like his UK form at Rosehill and then ran an even better race here last time. Set himself up to go back to his best and that should go a long way towards winning this. Stablemate GOLDMAN (10) pitches up sharply in class but looks made for it based on the strong rating at Warwick Farm. Also down from Sydney comes SOULCOMBE (5) who ran fast time winning a Melrose before coming down and looking a star in the making winning the Queen's Cup. Hasn't looked anything like that in two runs this prep but back up in trip now and better for having had the two runs back. No knock at all on SO UNUSUAL (9) who keeps winning and must be a chance again while ALEGRON (4) is also given some chance for all that he might still be one run away.
