Very little between the top two. I'll go with CARINI (16) who was making his Australian debut at Caulfield over 1400m and ran on strongly for third after missing the start. Looks nicely placed getting to 1700m and with a cleaner getaway he'll go close. DEVOTED (10) beat Carini home there before going on to win well second up. Should be fine at 1700m third up and gets Shinn on. Top chance again. Outside of them, FLASH FLOOD (9) is racing well and it took a big performance from Soulcombe to run him down last start. Should be thereabouts again. SIBAAQ (4) was barely fair last time but solid first up and something like his best would go close.
