Rates as a leading chance and should be hard to hold out late. BRAVE MEAD (1) atoned for some narrow defeats with a good win at Caulfield over 1400m, strong late when the gaps came. 1600m should be no issue off that. INFLUENTIAL (5) was far too good for maiden grade at Kembla Grange first up from a spell, winning by 3 lengths. Shapes as a big improver and will eat up a mile. KAIZAD (3) tried hard when leading them up at Caulfield. He'll be hard to get past again. CRITIQUE (4) might be better suited up in trip.

Recent form sound. At the latest run favourite; came from midfield and won by 0.8 len at Caulfield 3yo C&G-Swp October 21 over 1400m defeating The Instructor carrying 57.5kg at $2.10. The start before that 2nd in a small field at Moonee Valley 3yo C&G-Swp on September 29 over 1200m, 0.8 len behind Maharba carrying 57.5kg at $2. Got the job done last time and is a leading hope again.
Third-up today. Resuming 8th of 11 at this track in the LR Poseidon Stakes on September 16 over 1100m, 7 len behind Archo Nacho with 56kg at $26. Second-up came home strongly from last on the turn; 4th of 9 at Rosehill Tapp-Craig on October 7 over 1400m, 1.2 len behind Makarena carrying 55kg at $26. Looks suited getting to this trip.
Useful type. Last start tried to lead throughout but was claimed late 3rd of 8 at Caulfield 3yo C&G-Swp on October 21 over 1400m, 0.9 len behind Brave Mead with 56kg at $4. The race before that scored a big 3.5 len win at Warwick Farm Mdn October 11 over 1400m defeating Kirikan carrying 58kg at $1.70. Will give a bold sight.
Most recently sat on the speed and boxed on steadily 6th of 9 at Caulfield in the LR Gothic Stakes on October 21 over 1200m, 3.5 len behind Arkansaw Kid with 56kg at $14. Before that won by 1.75 len at Randwick Kensington 3&4yo Bm64 October 4 over 1250m defeating Vinnie's Spirit carrying 57.5kg at $14. Place chance.
Second run back. First-up after five months favourite; raced right near the speed and boxed on; won by 3 len at Kembla Grange Super Mdn October 21 over 1400m defeating Drift Net with 59kg at $1.80. Previously second-up 5th of 12 at Sunshine Coast in the G3 Ken Russell on May 6 over 1200m, 3.5 len behind Russian Alliance carrying 57kg at $2.50. Strong win last time, should measure up.
At the latest run eased back early on 4th of 8 at Caulfield 3yo C&G-Swp on October 21 over 1400m, 3.5 len behind Brave Mead with 56kg at $51. The start before that came from midfield and won by 1.75 len at Bendigo 3yo Mdn-Sw October 8 over 1300m defeating Going Nuclear with 58kg at $9. Not for ours.
At the latest run tracked the speed and boxed on steadily 2nd of 9 at Caulfield 3yo Bm70 on October 18 over 1600m, head behind Mojave Desert carrying 54.5kg at $6.50. Before that scored a big 9 len win at Ballarat Mdn-Sw October 2 over 1600m defeating Seamingly with 55kg at $1.30. Unlikely to threaten.
Last start second last of 8 at Moonee Valley in the G2 Vase on October 28 over 2040m, 21 len behind Apulia carrying 55kg at $101. The run before that 6th of 9 at Kembla Grange Mid Bm64 on October 12 over 2000m, 6 len behind Verbek with 55kg at $10. Well held last time and facing tough task today.
